of which can be organised in advance right here at the hotel.
On the estate, guests can enjoy superb golf, tennis, fishing,
shooting and boating while our beautiful gardens and secluded
woodlands offer any number of opportunities for jogging, cycling
or for a leisurely stroll.
Golf at Dromoland Castle
Thanks to an initial investment of $5 million, Dromoland
Castle Golf and Country Club has undergone an amazing transformation
with the help of the late, world renowned, Irish golfing legend,
J.B. Carr and one of golf's great golf course architects, Ron
Kirby, who teamed up to turn Dromoland Castle into an 18-hole
golf course, set in one of Europe's finest country estates.Three
years of careful nurture and natural maturation has created a
wonderful par-72 golfing test for all level of golfers. Visiting
individuals, groups and societies are welcome Monday to Sunday
throughout the year.
Why not also hone your golfing skills at the Dromoland Castle
Golf Academy - the most modern golf practice facilities in Ireland.
The Academy encompasses a 9 bay, floodlit, fully automated driving
range; a 500 square metre Putting Green; a 450 square metre Bunker
and Chipping Green complete with a riveted face links style bunker
which is modelled on the famous 'Road Hole' bunker on the 17th
at St Andrews.
