Lough Rynn Golf Course was
designed by Nick Faldo, the most successful Ryder Cup player
of all time (played in more matches and won more points than
any other player in history) and winner of 42 international titles.
This alone will bring visitors from all over The World to Lough
Rynn.
Nick had about 150 acres around
Lough Errew (just metres from Lough Rynn) on which to design
his course. The setting is breathtaking as the course takes players
all of the way around the lake, over rivers, through woodland
and rolling parkland, past 200 year old oak trees and a prehistoric
Dolmen.
The Clubhouse will be hidden
in the trees near the gates to the castle and will be home to
another restaurant and bar together with changing and club facilities.
The course is due to open towards
the end of 2008.
