Things to see and do
Borthwick Castle is ideally situated in the heart of the countryside
but within half an hour's drive of Scotland's capital city of
Edinburgh.
Walking
A short walk from the Castle you can explore Currie Wood. Cared
for by the Woodland Trust, this ancient planted woodland is a
hidden treasure of local and regional significance for wildlife.
A footbridge over the Middleton South Burn and a series of boardwalks
through the wetter areas enable visitors to complete a satisfying
circular route round the wood.

Sporting Activities
You are in the home of golf and there are several courses within
a 15 minute drive of the Castle. If you have always wanted to
play at St Andrew's or Muirfield, both are within easy reach.
