Dalwolsie - Second Floor
Dalwolsie is the ancient French
term for 'a meander in the river' which is a feature of the South
Esk River lying in the woodlands, immediately adjacent to the
Castle. The name evolved into Dalwolsey, and subsequently became
Dalhousie!
Decorated and furnished in
a French mediaeval style with a early 19th century antique double
bed the new Dalwolsie is sumptuously adorned with shades of burgundy,
green and tartan, and features a bare sand stone wall and a tower
alcove.
