Encompassing many different restaurants, the Glenlo Abbey Hotel Galway in the West of Ireland offers a unique culinary experience to its customers. Our award winning executive chef and a dedicated team are renowned for their creative flair. Their imaginative and often unusual dishes, based on the best available produce, are prepared and served with great care and attention to detail.

Based on the grounds of Glenlo Abbey Hotel, in scenic Bushypark, Galway, the Pullman seats 66, and comprises two Carriages and a Kitchen Car. There are also two enclosed 6-seater Compartments - perfect for intimate Private Dining. The Dining Carriage, named "Leona", was formerly a 1st Class Parlour Car, and the richness of wood, marqueterie and brass-work within it reflect this former "raison d'étre" and offer an extraordinary dining experience. The Pullman Train Carriage - a slice of History !
Converted into a wonderful Restaurant Car without losing any of its original character, this historic Pullman train carriage had been residing at Elsenham Station in Hertfordshire, England, before joining the many and varied facilities already available at Glenlo Abbey Hotel. Located just behind our golf courses First Tee, it overlooks the old Clifden - Galway Railway Line which passed through the estate until its removal in 1935. The Pullman has experienced a very varied life. Built in 1927, its routes included the Monaco/Istanbul/St. Petersburg runs, and also the Brighton run.
The River Room Restaurant
The bright and airy River Room restaurant, was designed to complement the history and tradition of the 260-year old Glenlo Abbey Hotel, while at the same time maximising our guests enjoyment of the superb views surrounding the Hotel. With tall windows on all five exterior walls, guests are afforded a view of Lough Corrib wherever they are seated. With its enchanting views and classical decor, it's an ideal restaurant choice for receptions or banquets and is the usual setting for buffet style, continental or traditional Irish breakfast. The River Room is open from 7.00pm - 9.30pm.
The Abbey
The Abbey dates back to 1740 and offers our guests a very exceptional and intimate venue. It can be used for both your dining pleasure or a corporate meeting and can cater for groups of up to 28 guests. All styles of dining are possible - from the simple and minimalist to the grand banquet.
