Dining and Entertainment
The Majors Room is
a wonderfully relaxed drawing room where you can enjoy afternoon
tea or a pre-dinner glass of champagne while taking in the spectacular
views of the estate. The Tetrarch Bar, adjacent to this provides
the perfect ambience for an after-dinner brandy and cigar. The
jewel in the crown however is the Lady Helen Dining Room, spectacular
for its original stucco plasterwork, broad pastoral views and
naturally, its superb cuisine.
The Lady Helen is located off
the main foyer in Mount Juliet House. The Lady Helen is an exclusive
formal dining establishment, once the private dining room for
the McCalmont family. It is a grand and spacious room, with high
ceilings and original plaster mouldings. The view from restaurant
is spectacular, overlooking the flowing River Nore and hundreds
of acres of landscape that make up Mount Juliet Estate. The seating
capacity for The Lady Helen is 60 guests, with additional seating
in the adjoining Tetratema Parlour for 30 guests. The Lady Helen
and The Tetratema Parlour are both available for private functions.
The Lady Helen is open for breakfast and dinner seven days a
week, all year round.
Kendals, our newly awarded
AA Rosette restaurant, situated in the Hunters Yard, is uniquely
designed, balancing old world elegance with a contemporary charm.
The appeal of Kendals is to be found not only in our attentive,
friendly crew, but also in the spacious, yet intimate, interior
with its panoramic views of the golf course. Peter Brennan and
his team of talented chefs will present to you a cuisine subtly
taking influences from all over the globe while maintaining a
strong Irish feel.
Relax and enjoy our extensive buffet breakfast at your leisure
or try our Sunday buffet lunch accompanied by the mellow sounds
of a live classic jazz band. As the sun sets over the estate,
sample some of the sumptuous dishes from our evening menu, with
a bottle of wine from our hand picked wine list.
The President's Bar
Dining at the Hunters Yard is flexible, with everything from
barbecues to picnics available on request. A favourite meeting
place is the President's Bar, which serves a range of light dishes
daily, in a rustic ambience. Here you can enjoy views of the
golf course & practise putting greens from the veranda, in
a relaxed atmosphere.
